Patient Reviews After Balloon Program

Am 61 years old. Decided at 102.7 kgs,6 months back to do something about the pandemic weight. Had the Ellipse Balloon inserted. Today I weigh 82.9...great achievement. Dr.Girish took less than 15 mins for the procedure. Absolutely no discomfort and after 4 months the Balloon exited smoothly. With such great results. Totally non-invasive and safe.

I had the Obera gastric balloon placed on the 27th of December 2020 with Dr Giresh, it was the 12 month option balloon. 9 months on I have lost a total of 33.3kgs. I will have it removed in 3 months and I feel confident I will get to my goal of 40.4kgs lost. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to have this done and thank Dr Giresh for helping me.

Hello All - I found out about the Ellipse balloon and Dr. Girish while doing some of my own research on weight loss aids. I had been steadily loosing weight until I hit a plateau last year and everyone who has ever tried to lose weight will tell you that it is so frustrating when the scale doesn't move or starts to move in the wrong direction. After few months trying to loose weight (after 2 pregnancies) without any significant result, I heard about the gastric ballon and I decided to go for it. Dr. Girish Juneja (at emirates hospital Jumeirah) has been recommend by a good friend of mine, and has a lot of experience so I felt really comfortable. The procedure went well, everything was explained to me, they prescribed all the medication needed and I had a really good follow up with doctor Girish, his assistant and also the dietician. They’re available at anytime and answered all my questions and concerned. Shaina doctor Girish’s assistant was calling me often to see how I was feeling. It has been now 2 weeks since the procedure and I already lost 6kg. I am so happy and feel super motivated to keep doing more exercice and start having a healthy diet, eat slowly etc. The ballon is a good booster to help you loose weight because quickly you see the results and it makes you feel really motivated because you see that it is working so you want to push your self more. I still have to do the rest of the job to go back to a healthy and balanced diet but at least I know that it’s going to work.
